Interesting reads from around the interwebs.
Milo one of my readers shared a fantastic used car checklist from the IFC SME toolkit centre. If this article was remotely interesting to you and you are considering buying a used car, I’d recommend that you download it and use it.
Interviews can be a drag for both the interviewer and the interviewee. As an interviewee, you don’t just want a job, you want to know that the company you are interviewing for is the right one for you. Jeff Hadden gives 5 questions great job candidates ask.
We are familiar with blood banks locally, I think breast milk banks are a good idea, especially when the milk goes towards saving the lives of premature babies. Karie Fiebel writes about this growing practice.
Will Burma become Asia’s next economic tiger? Like most African countries in so many ways, Burma has enormous potential to be an economic giant. However, governance and other legacy issues plague it (just like Africa). This article looks at the possibility that Burma could rise above its challenges and thrive. A good read.
Milk on a tap? Or is it milk “ATMs”? For most urban folk, milk comes in packets, and cream is something you buy off the supermarket. Farming Solutions Limited is working to bring hygenic, pure whole milk to you with their automated milk dispensing machines. My only challenge to them would be to integrate with a payments provider and come up with a way of buying milk by card, like Google have done with Beba Card for public transport.
Finally, the National Assembly Kenneth Marende made news by equating an MPs Kshs 851,000 salary to peanuts. Roomthinker breaks down what it really means to earn peanuts. Very insightful.
Happy Reading.
