Apply For The Acumen East Africa Fellows Program
Are you a social entrepreneur, social intrapreneur or organizational builder? Are you passionate about doing what is right and making the world a better place? If you answered yes to these two questions, then consider signing up for the Acumen East Africa fellowship. It is a transformational 1-year program that connects and empowers people to create change in their organisations. I have been privileged to work with the Acumen East Africa Fellowship program as a member of the selection panel and a trainer, and it comes highly recommended.
Find more information below and on the East Africa fellows page.
Who are Acumen Fellows?
Fellows are social entrepreneurs, social intrapreneurs, and organizational builders who dare to do what’s right, not what’s easy. While they may come from diverse cultural, geographic and socioeconomic backgrounds—and work in a range of sectors—they are committed to ending poverty in their communities and regions.
What is the Fellows Program?
Our Fellows Program is a one-year leadership development program designed to connect and cultivate a pipeline of social change agents who are committed to tackling poverty in their communities.
What are the basic requirements?
If you’re a citizen of—or can demonstrate a concrete connection to—Bangladesh, Colombia, East Africa*, India, Malaysia, or West Africa** and you are leading work focused on poverty or injustice, then we encourage you to apply.
*East Africa: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia and South Sudan
**West Africa: Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and The Gambia
Why should I apply?
Because you’re ready to be part of a closed cohort intensive leadership development program that, over the course of a year, will help you develop the skills and community to become a more effective and collaborative agent of change.
Applications close on August 11th. Don’t wait.
